Laura is a linguist working in Natural Language Processing and teaching Computer Science at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina.
She is interested in how empirical methods can help understand natural language phenomena, especially for minority languages. She enjoys error analysis of automatic procedures, and trying to understand the different impacts of different errors, in a broader sense. She is part of the Fundación ViaLibre team for Social Impacts of AI, working on tools to bring bias detection and characterization to the field.
