About the KHIPUx Program
The KHIPUx Program aims to help strengthen the machine learning and artificial intelligence local communities across the whole Latin American region by supporting official but independent KHIPUx events that capture the spirit of KHIPU at a local scale.
KHIPUx align closely with KHIPU’s core mission and are explicitly branded as “KHIPUx [Location]” (e.g., “KHIPUx Bogotá”, “KHIPUx Brazil”) becoming part of a larger, interconnected network. (See Application Template).
Learn more about KHIPUx events
A KHIPUx event is an officially recognized, independently organized scientific gathering that aligns with KHIPU’s core values and branding to strengthen the AI ecosystem in Latin America.
The event must demonstrably embody KHIPU’s core values (LatAm focus, community, ethical AI, knowledge sharing, inclusivity, diversity). This needs to be woven into the event’s theme, speaker selection, workshop content, and planned activities. This includes that all full time students have complimentary registration.
KHIPUx events are explicitly branded as “KHIPUX [Location]” (e.g., “KHIPUx Bogotá”, “KHIPUx Brazil”) and are part of larger, interconnected network of KHIPUx events.
Finally, all KHIPUx events are non-profit.
