Tatiana is a Research Scientist at DeepMind working on physical reasoning, GNN-based simulation and inverse design. She is originally from Colombia, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Universidad Tecnologia de Pereira in 2008. She also holds a MSc in Computer Vision and Robotics from the Université de Bourgogne (France), the Universitat de Girona (Spain) and Heriot-Watt University (Scotland), and a PhD degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (joint degree between Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh in 2022). Tatiana’s main interest and passion is in how to help robots model and manipulate complex physical materials such as liquids, deformables and other squishy things.
