Andres does research on Autonomous Goal Formation, Reasoning, and Consciousness in AI,
Currently as a research affiliate at MILA. He has a PhD from the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department at MIT, was founder and CEO of stateoftheart.ai, co-founded an AI conference in LATAM (RIIAA.org), worked at FB AI Research, represented Mexico in the International Mathematical Olympiad, and has written several research papers and one book. He enjoys playing poker and soccer, snowboarding, and backpacking.
