Jorge Pérez, PhD, is co-founder and Chief Product Officer at cero.ai, a Chilean company accelerated by Y-Combinator and dedicated to healthcare coordination. Before founding cero.ai, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science Department at Universidad de Chile for over 10 years, and a researcher at the Millennium Institute for Foundational Research on Data, where he led the Technology Transfer area. Jorge has published his research in the most prestigious conferences on Data and Artificial Intelligence (NeurIPS, ICLR, VLDB, WWW, among others). He was the first Chilean to obtain the Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship (Redmond, USA 2009), and has been recognized with the Ramón Salas-Edwards award from the Chile Institute of Engineers (Santiago, 2012), and the SWSA Ten-Year Award (Kobe, Japan 2016).
