Mauricio is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Google Research working on machine learning and computational photography. Before joining Google in 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universidad de la República.
Mauricio received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Universidad de la República, Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2006, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. From 2013 to 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Duke University, Durham, NC, USA.
