Paula Dornhofer Paro Costa is a professor at Unicamp’s Department of Computer Engineering and Automation (DCA-FEEC). She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (Unicamp, 2001), a Master’s in Mobile Communications (Politecnico di Torino, 2006), and a Master’s (2009) and Ph.D. (2015) in Computer Engineering (Unicamp).
Her research focuses on Generative AI, Multimodal AI, and Affective Computing. She coordinates the Cognitive Architectures research line at Unicamp’s AI and Cognitive Architectures Hub (H.IAAC) and is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Data Science (BI0S).
Her work bridges AI, cognition, and human interaction, shaping the future of intelligent systems.
